Workshop on Euroarctic Cross-Border Tourism

On the 17th −18th of March 2016 «Workshop on Euroarctic Cross-Border Tourism» was organized by University of Tromso, Arctic University of Norway. The seminar was devoted to the issues of cross-border cooperation in the tourism sector. MASU was represented by Tatiana Ashutova, PhD, Head of the Department of Arts, Service and Tourism, Tatiana Belevskykh, PhD, director of TIC, Yulia Shestova, coordinator of the department of scientific work and international cooperation.

The workshop was attended by representatives of educational institutions and commercial organizations in Russia, Norway, and Ukraine. They actively discussed the history, experience and perspectives of cooperation development in the sphere of tourism in the borderzone. At the end of the workshop the participants made resolutions on perspective directions of cooperation development in the sphere of tourism where Murmansk Arctic State University has the leading role. In particular, it was planned to develop and implement joint educational projects in the tourism sector at MASU.
