Meeting with the Barents Institute representatives

On the 6th of May 2015 MSHU had an official visit by the delegation from the Norwegian Barents Institute, headed by Director of the Institute Marianne Solheim. The delegation included members of the board of the Barents Institute, which at this stage is part of the Arctic University of Norway.

During the meeting with the Rector of Murmansk State Humanities University professor Andrey Sergeev, Vice-Rector for Science and Research professor Galina Zhigunova and Head of Research Work and International Cooperation Office assoc. prof. Inna Ryzhkova they discussed the main directions of research activity in both organizations, defined the basic directions for the development of cooperation between MSHU and the Barents Institute. They included the Arctic design, as well as — a multilateral study of the border phenomenon.

The meeting was held in the atmosphere of mutual understanding and constructive dialogue.
