Intensive course in Tourism

On 21-25 October the intensive course in Tourism took place at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Physical Culture and Life Safety in cooperation with the Lapland University Consortium (Tourism Institute). During the first day the group of Finnish and Russian students visited the Ice-Breaker «Lenin» which is the information ground and main tourism object of the project.

The second year students of the program in Tourism revealed their professional competences and prepared the city center excursion.

The course program contained theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part included lectures by the leading teachers from Tourism Institute Mari Vahakuopus, Jose-Carlos Garcia-Rosell, Petra Paloniemi, and from MSHU — Professor Vladimir Denisov, Ass. Prof. Zoja Zhelnina, Ass. Prof. Maxim Palamarchuk.

The practical part included joint work in creativity teams and development of tourism products. The results were presented at the final event.
