The Final Seminar of Barents Cross-Border University Development Project (2011-2013)

On April 9-10, 2013 in Murmansk took place the official final seminar of Barents Cross-Border University Development Project (2011-2013) (BCBU+) funded under EC Kolarctic ENPI CBC program.

The project implementation started in April 2011 with the focus on developing four international joint master programs in Comparative Social Work, Environmental Engineering in the Barents region, IT, Health and Welfare. MSHU is actively involved in developing the first two programs.

Venues for the seminar were atomic ice-breaker Lenin and Murmansk State Technical University. All the participants reported about the project implementation results in their home institutions and discussed the prospects of future cooperation in the field of development and implementation of joint master degree programs.

Apart from MSHU and MSTU there were representatives of all the participating institutions: University of Lapland and University of Oulu (Finland), Lulea University of Technology (Sweden), Narvik University College (Norway), Northern (Arctic) Federal University, Northern State Medical University, Karelia State Pedagogical Academy and Petrozavodsk State University.

In the result of the project all the partner institutions were equipped with all the necessary hardware and software for e-learning web-seminars in virtual classrooms.
