«School for all» international project

On the 21-24 October the kick-off meeting within the international project «School for all: development of inclusive education» took place at the University of Lapland in Rovaniemi.

The following representatives of the Murmansk region participate in the project: MSHU as regional coordinator, the Ministry of Education and Science of the region, as well as Murmansk Regional In-service Training Institute for Education and Culture.

During the kick-off meeting representatives of each region made presentations on the situation in the sphere of inclusive education. Situation in the Murmansk region was presented by Tatiana Kuzmicheva, PhD in Pedagogy, Director of the Institute for Pedagogy and Psychology, and Alexandra Burtseva, PhD in Pedagogy, Deputy Head of the International relations’ and PR Office.

Besides, they have discussed a number of institutions which will become pilot schools of the project and also the research plan which will minimize risk factors in the sphere of inclusive education.

Within the project, benchmarking trips to educational institutions and social centers in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Russia are planned. The summary workshop will be held at MSHU at the end of may 2013.
