International Course «Distance Learning in Cross Border Environment» at MSHU

On May 14-17 MSHU hosted international course «Distance Learning in Cross Border Environment» organized within international project «Barents Cross Border University +». The aim of the project is to ensure development of the Barents region by preparing qualified specialists within the framework of master degree programmes in social work, healthcare, law, ecology and IT.

The course counted 32 participants from different universities of the participating countries: University of Oulu, University of Lapland (Finland), Lulea University of Technology (Sweden), Northern (Arctic) Federal University, Karelia State Pedagogical Academy, Northern State Medical University, Petrozavodsk State University, Murmansk State Technical University and Murmansk State Humanities University.

The course covered such issues as psychological aspects of youth cybersocialization, state policy in assessment of students’ educational attainments, pedagogical techniques before and after LMS, intercultural communication in distance learning, pedagogical design of texts and organizing group work by means of LMS.

Lectures that caused most interest and were marked for theoretical depth and practical value were given by the following MSHU lecturers: Roman Polikarpov, Senior Lecturer at Department of Computer Science and General Technical Sciences, Oleg Lyash, PhD in Pedagogy, Associate Professor at Department of Computer Science and General Technical Sciences, Dilyara Agapova, PhD in Pedagogy, Associate Professor at Department of English and English Philology, Irina Shungina, Senior Lecturer at Department of Computer Science and General Technical Sciences, Anna Savrasova, PhD in Pedagogy, Associate Professor at Department ofGeneral and Special pedogogy, Maksim Palamarchuk, PhD in Philosophy, Associate Professor at Department of Culturology, Intercultural Communication, Language Theory and Journalism, Irina Sinkevich, PhD in Pedagogy, Head of Department of Psychology, Tatiana Barysheva, Senior Lecturer at Department of Psychology, Valentina Vasyukevich, PhD in Pedagogy, Associate Professor at Department of Life Safety and Basic Medical training.

At the end of the course all the participants were awarded with certificates of participation.
