The international seminar devoted to the problems of tourism
On the 24th — 26th April MSHU hosted the international seminar devoted to the problems of tourism development in the Barents region within the international project «BART Public-private partnership in Barents tourism».
Representatives of all partner organizations participated in the seminar: higher education institutions, tourism companies in Finland, Sweden, Norway and Russia, as well as the Ministry of economic development of the Murmansk region. Johan Edelheim — director of Multidimensional Tourism Institute — visited the seminar as honorary guest.
Mr Edelheim participated actively in the seminar and had a meeting with Minister of economic development of the Murmansk region Mr. Sergey Agarkov where they discussed possible perspectives of cooperation within tourism projects.
During the seminar each country presented results of sociological research in the sphere of tourism. Presentation of the Murmansk region was made by Liudmila Gerashchenko.
Participants of the seminar from different countries mentioned high efficiency and competent arrangement of the event done by MSHU and MSTU efforts.
The next seminar within the project will take place in Norway.
