The delegation from Lapland University Consortium
On March 16, 2012 MSHU hosted the delegation from Lapland University Consortium (LUC) represented by three universitites: Rovaniemi University of Applied Sciences, the University of Lapland, and Kemi-Tornio University of Applied Sciences.
Among the members of the delegation were: Martti Lampela, President of Rovaniemi University of Applied Sciences, and Matti Lempiäinen, Anzelika Krastina, Arturs Dutka, Heikki Konttaniemi, and Jari Rinne, representatives of international offices of the Finnish institutions above. MSHU spokesmen were: Andrey Sergeev, Rector, Pavel Fedorov, Vice-Rector for Science and Research, Inna Ryzhkova, Director of Centre for Academic Mobility, International Projects and Programs, and Mikhail Smirnyakov, Head of International Office.
At the meeting Andrey Sergeev made a presentation about MSHU history, structure and international activity. The guests, in their turn, dwelled on the major tendencies and coming changes of the structure within the Consortium. MSHU spokesmen answered the questions of their Finnish counterparts. At the end of the meeting both parties expressed hope for further cooperation in the field of higher education.
