A visit of norvegian colleagues

On 13-15.03.2012 MSHU was visited by the representatives of the University College of Finnmark (Alta, Norway): Kirsten Elisabeth Stien, Hanne Kirsten Nielsen and Elena Merzlyakova. The program of their visit included presentation of MSHU Institute of Psychology and Pedagogy, department of Social Pedagogy, Preschool and Primary School Education and a seminar at which Inna Ignatovich, PhD in Pedagogy, described organization of preschool education in Russia; Anna Smaga, PhD in Pedagogy, head of the department, told the guests about the didactics in preschool institutions in Russia and in Murmansk and the Murmansk region in particular.

Inna Ignatovich also gave an open lesson «Ecological education of children» where she spoke about the theoretical basis of ecological education and acquainted our partners from abroad with the specific character of work in the field of ecological education of preschool children in preschool institutions. She also showed a few practical examples of work.

The first day finished with the Round table: teachers from Norway and Russia discussed specific character of training specialists in the sphere of preschool education, peculiar features of organization of training and perspectives of cooperation in the future.

On 14.03.12 our colleagues from Norway visited Murmansk kindergarten ¹ 93 (director is Elena Aslezova). There they attended classes of physical training, handcrafts, music and dance. During the Round table kindergarten specialists and guests discussed specific character of work of pedagogues in Russia and Norway. Our foreign colleagues also got acquainted with the kindergarten documentation which regulates its work and organization of educational process.

On 15.03.12 which was the last day of work, the participants summed up the results of these three days and discussed perspectives of cooperation between MSHU Institute of Psychology and Pedagogy and the University College of Finnmark (Alta, Norway) in the field of preschool education.
