An open lecture

On March 13, 2012 there was an open lecture at MSHU given by Fritz Johnsen, a representative of Statsped organization (Norway) «Difficulties in teaching Mathematics: dyscalculia».

The target audience of the lecture was the staff of the department of special psychology and logopedic, practitioners from Murmansk specialized and secondary educational institutions, students of the 4−5th years of study whose majors are special psychology, special preschool pedagogy and psychology, preschool pedagogy and psychology.

The lecture gave a detailed description of dyscalculia theoretical foundations, specific characteristics of children with dyscalculia, practical methods of work with a child with dyscalculia.

After the lecture the participants discussed perspectives of cooperation between the partners from Russia and from abroad in the sphere of theoretical and applied studies of dyscalculia.
