«Fall 2011» blitz programming tournament

November 26 a blitz programming tournament «Fall 2011» among MSHU students took place.

The sponsors of the tournament were: MSHU, Orient Express Bank, Microsoft corp. Murmansk Representative Office.

The activity was organized with the participation of lecturers of the Department of Computer Science and General Technical Disciplines, Department of Applied Mathematics and Mathematical Methods in Economy, Ciprian Gerstenberger, the computational linguist at the University of Tromsø and Maxim Milov, the representative of Microsoft corp. in Murmansk.

Altogether 13 teams participated in the tournament: students of the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Education, Computer Science and Programming, students of the Faculty of Art Education, Technology and Design. All the participants displayed not just their programming skills but persistence and polymathy.

All the winners were awarded with certificates and valuable presents.
