A visit to the University of Tromso (Norway)

On March 21-28 Olga Ivanischeva, Doctor of Philology, Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Journalism and Intercultural Communication visited the University of Tromso (Norway).

Within the Barents+ program Olga Ivanischeva gave lectures on ethnic and linguistic situation in the Murmansk region for students and teachers of the Institutes for Sociology, Anthropology and Linguistics of the University of Tromso. Besides, Olga Ivanischeva met with Endre Mørk, Director of the Institute of Philology, and professor Trond Trosterund, author of the project on linguistic technologies, specialist on Finno-Ugrian Philology. At the meeting the participants set out the directions of cooperation between the Institute of Philology of the University of Tromso and the MSHU Faculty of Philology, Journalism and Intercultural Communication.

Some time ago Svetlana Antoshina, PhD, Head of MSHU Department of the Russian Language, Literature and Methods of Teaching Them also visited the University of Tromso within the same program. She gave lectures on history of old Russian books, met with the master students of the «Russian Philology» master program, set out directions of cooperation between post-graduate students, master students and students of the University of Tromso, who study Russian language, and Faculty of Philology, Journalism and Intercultural Communication.
