«English in the borderline schools» seminar

On the 1st—2nd of December the second session within «English in the borderline schools» project took place in Kirkenes (Norway).

Lectures were delivered by professors from Murmansk State Humanities University and Bodø University College. Participants from MSHU are Elena Kvasyuk (Head of the Department of Foreign Languages and Teaching Methods, PhD in Pedagogy) and Tatiana Lisitsyna (Associate Professor of the Department of the English Language and English Philology). The lecturer from Bodø University College is Jessica Allen Hansen.

The topic of this session was «Teaching Children’s Literature», which was defined in June 2010 during the coordinator’s meeting in Zapoljarny (Murmansk region).

10 Norwegian and 7 Russian school teachers got acquainted with the newly-published American books, problems of teenagers, who are not indifferent to e-books and who are not interested in printed books.

The next session will be arranged in February in Zapoljarny.
