On the 2nd of June a meeting took place with Consul of the Norwegian Consulate-General Elin Marie Hellum and representatives of the Norwegian Center for International Cooperation in Higher Education Gro Tjore and Benedicte Sohlheim.

MSPU representatives at the meeting are Professor Olga Ivanischeva, Head of the Department of Intercultural Communication, Language Theory and Journalism, Inna Ryzhkova, Director of the Center for Academic Mobility, International Projects and Programs, Alexandra Burtseva, Vice-Director of the Center and Jan Ove Odden, teacher of Norwegian.

During the meeting they discussed issues concerning reforms in the system of higher education in the Russian Federation, as well as changes in MSPU structure and action content in connection with the Bologna process realization. Moreover, Mr. Odden spoke about the situation, concerning teaching the Norwegian language at MSPU, professor Olga Ivanischeva specified the perspectives of learning Scandinavian languages, namely Finnish at the new Faculty of Philology, Journalism and Intercultural Communication.

The guests were satisfied with the meeting and estimated the dialogue as constructive and promising.
