Open seminar by Hanna Erstavik

On April 24, within the framework of the annual international festival «Barents Bird», MASU served as a platform for an open seminar «Creativity to Hanna Erstavik in Russia».

Teachers and students of MASU presented a creative portrait of the famous contemporary Norwegian writer Hanna Erstavik, her novels «Love» and «Pastorsha», and analyzed the feedback from readers of Scandinavia and Russia about the works of Erstavik.

Next day, students and teachers met with Hanna Erstavik and translator Olga Drobot. Participants got acquainted with the creative biography of Hannah, received answers to questions about the peculiarities of the images and ideas of her works, the specifics of their translation from Norwegian into Russian.

The event’s guests of honor were the Consul General of the Norwegian Consulate General in Murmansk Erik Svedahl, the assistants to the consul for culture and the media, Olesya Nonka and Tatiana Dezhina.
