Consul of the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Norway visited the flagship university in Murmansk
On February 20, Consul of the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Norway Astrid Nérum carried out an official visit to MASU. During the visit, a meeting was held with the rector of MASU, Professor Andrei Sergeev and the head of the Research and International cooperation office, Associate Professor Inna Ryzhkova.
Andrei Sergeev showed the guests a presentation reflecting key milestones in the development of MASU as a flagship university in the region. Inna Ryzhkova told Mrs. Nérum about the international cooperation of MASU, stressing that the internationalization of higher education is one of the dominants that determine the development of the university in a cross-border space. Mrs. Nérum also met with the Associate Professor of the Department of History and Law Maria Ilyicheva, Associate Professor Olga Pozhidaeva and a professor of the Norwegian language and culture in MASU Harald Roalkvam.
Parties spoke about the Russian-Norwegian cultural projects and covered in details the problem of teaching the Norwegian language, studies by 90 full-time students at MASU. Consul highly appreciated the results of the Russian-Norwegian cooperation carried out by MASU and partner universities in Norway, and assured MASU management of steady support of the most promising projects from the Consulate.
