Young diplomats from Norway paid a visit to MASU

On September 4, a delegation of future diplomats from Norway visited Murmansk Arctic State University. The meeting was held as part of the delegation’s annual study visit to Murmansk.

«Students who are studying at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway, future diplomats, attend diplomatic missions in different countries, and always come to Murmansk. Here they visit the Government, key enterprises and organizations, public associations. Our task is to get future diplomats acquainted with the educational space of the Murmansk region. This event has been held at the MASU Coworking 51 Center for the second time.», — noted the advisor of International cooperation office Mikhail Uksusov.

The guests became acquainted with the history of our institution from the Murmansk Teachers’ Institute to the flagship university of the region. Mikhail also talked about the directions of the university’s scientific work and about key projects implemented by MASU together with Norwegian partners. In addition, the lecturer at MASU Department of Modern Languages Harald Roalkvam spoke about teaching the Norwegian language and culture at the University.

The event was also attended by representatives of other regional educational organizations — MSTU and the Norwegian-Russian school based at Murmansk gymnasium No. 1. After the presentations, the meeting participants were able to ask questions they found interested.
