MASU and Weihai Vocational Colledge signed a cooperation Memorandum

The delegation of campus of MASU Kirovsk campus visited Weihai Vocational Colledge (China). The meeting with mayor’s deputy Yang Li, party Secretary of Weihai vocational College Wu Yonggang and College rector Li Yaohua took place within the visit. MASU delegation learned about the experience of Weihai Vocational College, which is one of the model state higher educational institutions and is an exemplary state-level base for training highly qualified personnel. It trains specialists in 59 areas of higher vocational education and in 18 technical spheres. Now it has about 16,000 students and 1280 employees.

The College adheres to the concept of «Vocational education is the education within which you get a profession.» Training is focused on obtaining practical knowledge and skills. Educational programs are developed in collaboration with over 230 enterprises, and the College itself has more than 20 small companies that students manage themselves. In many training areas, students can obtain practical experience directly at the College, as well as in 186 premises for practical training. The College actively sends students for an exchange and practice period abroad and accepts international students.

Following the visit, MASU and Weihai Vocational College signed the Memorandum on the exchange of student and teacher groups for practical training and education.
