ConnectED: creating scientific connections in the Arctic

An online kickoff meeting within the «Creating Connections in the Arctic Educational Science Community (ConnectED)» project was held on January 12. Tatiana Kuzmicheva, director of Psychology and Pedagogy Institute, and Yulia Shestova, head of International Cooperation Office, represented Murmansk Arctic State University.

The project is funded by a grant from the University of the Arctic. It includes a round of researcher visits to partner universities in Russia, the USA, Canada, Finland, Norway, Iceland, the Faroe Islands and the United Kingdom. A team of two researchers from each university will go to one of the educational organizations of these countries to exchange their professional experience and present the results of the visits on the project's website.

«The meeting with international partners showed the necessity to cooperate and collaborate in the future on the matter of inclusive education within the social justice context», said Tatiana Kuzmicheva. It is essential to build a common set of research interests while we share our experience through theoretical and applied research on this matter.

The project's results will form a base for developing a plan for future researcher visits to partner universities.
