What should we know about Omicron

A rapid spread of an Omicron variant of SARS-CoV-2 (a virus that causes COVID-19) keeps people in the world on their toes. The number of new cases doubles once in two days in Europe.

Previous COVID waves made us worry about elderly people. Now we should take care of ourselves despite our age.

Remember that vaccination still is the most effective way to protect our health and control the spread of a new COVID variant. The pace of vaccination and revaccination has grown, yet the dynamic of vaccination is not enough to withstand the COVID's attacks.

We urge our students to keep in mind the most effective mean against the virus is vaccination. If you were vaccinated six months ago, it is time for revaccination.

Do not forget to wear masks and change them regularly, use hand sanitizers and keep a physical distance. Please, take care of yourself!
