MASU became 18th out of 450 Russian universities in terms of youth work

Murmansk Arctic State University became 18th out of 450 Russian universities in a ranking showing the effectiveness of universities' youth work and policies.

The index was developed by the Russian Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh). Based on the information from federal databases as well as through conducting a sociological survey which involved 123 thousand students, the Agency developed a shortlist of Top-50 Russian higher education institutions with the best social and cultural practices implemented for the young people.

— It was the 1st time that Russian universities were evaluated in terms of their youth work practices and experience. There were 9 criteria in the rating index among which are: involvement of students into the fedral agenda of implementing state youth policy, students' satisfaction with university extracurricular activities and infrastructure, university attractiveness for applicants, social and psychological well-being of 1st year students, graduates' attitude to the university, interaction of students with professors, amount of students believing in future opportunities for self-fulfillment in Russia, as well as confidence in Rector — Lyubov Lychkina, MASU VIce-rector for Youth Affairs
