MAU builds bridges with leading academic institutions

A group of MAU research workers from «Logistics in the Arctic» and «Ecoengineering and monitoring of pollution of the Arctic Zone» research laboratories visited the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech) and Bauman Moscow State Technical University (MSTU).

Mikhail Vasekha, head of «Logistics in the Arctic» research laboratory, said that both parties were interested in developing and implementing joint projects in the fields of marine logistics, eco-monitoring, and artificial intelligence as means of solving Arctic technosphere safety issues during transport and logistics operations and Arctic marine development. The meeting with Skoltech resulted in laying out of a plan for cooperation in such scientific fields.

MAU representatives also visited MSTU, where they met the directing board of MSTU «Spacecraft and launch vehicles» department. The two universities have an opportunity to collaborate in collecting satellite data that they can use for analyzing, planning, forecasting, and monitoring transport and logistics activity, as well as human impact in the Arctic.
