MAU student, Kingson Jacob, became a bronze medalist of the Badminton Championship of the Northwestern Federal District

In early May, Gatchina hosted the Badminton Championship of the Northwestern Federal District, which gathered 170 athletes on its courts.

Kingson Jacob, a third-year student of MAU Medicine and Life Sciences Institute, showed an excellent result, becoming a bronze medalist of the «A» class men's doubles category tournament with his partner Valery Lobov.

Kingson came from India to Murmansk and studies on «General Medicine» programme.

«This is BIG for me! Feeling so grateful to have had the opportunity to compete in the prestigious North-West Russian Championships and take home the bronze medal! Such an incredible experience as a foreigner in this amazing country. Can't wait to come back and compete again next year ! Will surely work harder for better results,» Kingson posted on a social media profile.
