Bridge to the Arctic («Мост в Арктику»): MAU International Students Amazed by the Atmosphere of Teriberka
International students of Murmansk Arctic University travelled to Teriberka to learn the history of the place, taste Arctic cuisine, and enjoy the nature. For two days, the students experienced positive energy flow and prepared themselves for a productive academic year.
Students began their trip with a walk on the sand beach on the shore of the Barents Sea within the Bridge to the Arctic («Мост в Арктику») project. Organisers of the event shared that the students also had a chance to visit the XX century ship graveyard. After a lunch break with local cuisine, they went to Teriberka Nature Park, where an unusual beach called «Dragon's Eggs» and the Teriberka Waterfall are located. The entire way from the beach to the waterfall was along a trail, the landscapes of which never cease to amaze travellers.
«Our trip to Teriberka gave us an unforgettable experience. We are impressed by its wild natural beauty and the atmosphere of northern tranquillity. The deep blue sea, harsh cliffs and the endless Artic expanses create unique landscapes that take your breath away. Nature feels especially powerful and pristine here. This trip will forever stay in our memory as a trip to a land that merge nature and man in a single harmony,» shared Alaa Aldeen and Haya Houria, the students from Syria.
The aim of the trip is to help international students to ease the process of adjusting to an unfamiliar environment far from home. The «Bridge to the Arctic» team sincerely believes that positive emotions from new places, immersion into the history and traditions of the Murmansk region will help students from all over the world quickly adapt and feel comfortable.
