Delegation from the Arctic University of Norway
On 25 September, 2013, delegation from the Arctic University of Norway visited Murmansk State Humanities University. Mainly there were representatives of Finnmark faculty educational department of the Arctic University of Norway. During their fam visit, guests got acquainted with general information about the structure and the content of MSHU scientific-educational activity, specificity of international projects, which are realized.

Barents Summit
On 3-4 June 2013 the Barents Summit took place in Kirkenes, Norway. It brought together Prime-Ministers of Russia, Norway, Finland and Iceland, Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Nordic countries, business and civic circles of the Barents Euro-Arctic region. During the summit the new Declaration, which will define the perspectives of cooperation in BEAR for the nearest decades, was signed.

The fourth session of the Russian-Norwegian Program in Practical Knowledge
On 20-23 May the fourth session within the Russian-Norwegian Master Program in Practical Knowledge (Borderology) took place at Nickel Arts School. During the session lectures and seminars were carried out by Professor from Nordland University Jan-Selmer Methi, and also MSHU Ass.Professors Tatiana Shtets and Alexander Sautkin.

Finnish-Russian «A School for All» project workshop
On the 14th—15th of May a workshop within the Finnish-Russian project «A School for All» took place at MSHU International Relations’ Office. The delegation from the University of Lapland included: Professor Sai Väyrynen, Scientific Leader of the project; Katja Norvapalo, Project Manager and Essi Kesalahti, the trainee.

On March 14 MSHU hosted international research seminar «Dialogue across the Border: Borderology in the Perspective of M. Bakhtin’s Ideas» which took place within joint Russian-Norwegian master degree program in Borderology implemented by MSHU and University of Nordland (BodØ, Norway).

New stage of the project «A School for All — Development of Inclusive Education»
Murmansk State Humanities University started the next stage of the international Russian-Finnish project «A School for All — Development of Inclusive Education», aimed at creating the multicultural educational environment and providing equal educational opportunities for children with special educational needs. The project is financed by «Kolarctic ENPI CBC program 2007-2013».

On 1-2 November 2012 the Days of the Russian-Norwegian Cross-Border Cooperation took place in Nickel. The main organizer of the event was the Government of the Murmansk region, supported by the Ministry of the Regional Development of the Murmansk region.

International Summer School in Rovaniemi
Faculty of Arts Education, Technology and Design continues its cooperation with University of Lapland in Rovaniemi which has hosted international summer schools in early June this year. Students from our faculty accompanied by the lecturer from the Department of Arts and Design E. A. Fedeneva participated in this significant and large-scale event.
