On the 1st of october 2010 Annikki Pulkkinen, Head of International Relations of Kemi-Tornio University of Applied Sciences (Finland), visited Murmansk State Humanities University. New stage of «Bachelor of Northern Studies» program
On the 1st of September 2010 a new stage of the international program «Bachelor of Northern Studies» started. The program is realized by joint efforts of Murmansk State Humanities University and Finnmark University College. This year about 120 MSHU students have started their studies within the BNS program. We congratulate all the students on successful enrollment in Finnmark University College.

New name of our university
According to the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation ¹ 908 dated the 3rd of September 2010, State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education «Murmansk State Pedagogical University» was renamed into State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education «Murmansk State Humanities University».

International contest on profession-oriented informative and research projects in English
On the 19th-22nd of April 2010 the international contest on profession-oriented informative and research projects in English took place on the basis of the Department of Foreign Language Learning and Methods of Teaching, which has been holding the competition for 5 years. In the year 2009 the contest acquired the status of international and inter-college.
